Saturday August 12, 2017-President
Uhuru Kenyatta has extended a hand of friendship to NASA leader Raila Odinga and
his supporters urging them to accept defeat and agree to work with him.

Speaking yesterday at Bomas
of Kenya after being declared President-elect, Uhuru invited Raila Odinga and
NASA supporters to partner with him in serving Kenyans, saying the country
needed him and all the leaders.

“I extend my friendship to
my older brother Raila Odinga and his supporters and also congratulate those
who won in other races,” Uhuru said.

“To our brothers and
competitors, we are not enemies. We need everyone to pull together to succeed.
I reach out to Raila Odinga and all on Opposition benches, let us engage and dialogue
to build Kenya,’ he added.

Uhuru promised to serve all
Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations.
