RAILA ODINGA gives condition to accept defeat by President UHURU KENYATTA
Saturday August 12, 2017-The National
Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has agreed to concede
defeat by President Uhuru Kenyatta but only if the Independent Electoral and
Boundaries Commission (IEBC) agrees to its demand.
Speaking at Bomas of Kenya,
Raila, through his Chief Agent Musalia Mudavadi, said they will only accept the
results after they are satisfied that they are the authentic Presidential poll
results and nothing more or less.
He asked the IEBC not to release the official results
since there was a lot of anomalies that needed to be dealt with first.
Similar sentiments were echoed by James Orengo who
demanded that IEBC gives them access to its servers to verify if the results
released by the commission are the once in the servers and Raila would accept
“IEBC should open the servers for us to see the raw data
of scanned forms 34A and B and we will accept if we lose,” Orengo said.
