It is only LUOS who are demonstrating in Kenya! – KAMBAs and LUHYAs have ACCEPTED defeat
August 12, 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Friday declared the
winner of last Tuesday‘s presidential election after he trounced National Super
Alliance (NASA) presidential loser, Raila Odinga.
According to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission
(IEBC) chairman, Wafula Chebukati, Uhuru had garnered 8,203,290 votes,
representing 54.27 per cent of the votes cast.
Raila came in second with 6,762,224 votes, representing
44.74 per cent of the votes cast.
In total, 15,073,662 people cast their votes, representing
78.91 per cent of the registered voters.
declaration of Uhuru as the president, violent protest erupted in Kisumu and
areas dominated by Luo community on Friday evening.
The areas that witnessed protests are Kisumu, Migori and Homa
Bay counties which ethnically dominated by members of the Luo community.
Other areas include, Kariobangi,
Dandora IV, Mathare and kibera in Nairobi where Luos are the majority.
Now Kenyans are asking why it is only members of the Luo
community who are protesting Kenyatta’s victory yet Kenya has 44 tribes.
